Children's Musical Objectives

Rehearsal Schedule

Day: Wednesdays

Time: 3:00/3:15 p.m. - Buses run to AL Burris Elementary, Hickory Hills Elementary, and West Side Elementary; 3:50 - Bus pick up at MCAA

            3:30 to 4:00 p.m. - Playground time and snacks (in the Fuse Box).

            4:00 to 4:25 p.m. - Voice for Life training in the Fuse Box for 1st through 5th grade

            4:30 to 5:25 p.m. - Rehearsal in Room 263. 

Drop off: If arriving before 3:50, check the playground on your way in. If we are out there, students should be dropped off with the chaperone on duty. Otherwise - or if arriving between 3:50 and 4:25 - guardians should use the Welcome Center entrance and walk students to the Fuse Box. After 4:25, students should report directly to their assigned classroom. (Room 263)

Pick up: Parents of 3rd through 5th grade should discuss the pick up plan with their child. It is preferred that parents pick students up at the classroom, but students of this age may meet their family in the Family Life Hall for supper or in the Welcome Center lobby.

Catherine Moulton                                                                               Music Associate, Director of Chapel and Chorister Choirs

Catherine Moulton, a native Mariettan, has worked as a performing arts clinician since 2013. Her pedagogy highlights the embodiment of music theory through vocal technique, stagecraft, confident self-presentation, and the building of other critical life skills. Currently she runs an active private lesson studio and directs Quadratum (with Brian Parks), an auditioned ensemble that strives to develop intelligent, self-reliant young people through rigorous musical training. She is also the Director of Chapel Choir (6th through 12th grade) and Chorister Choir (3rd through 5th grade) at Marietta First United Methodist Church. A graduate of CCCEPA, she holds a bachelor degree from Indiana University with additional studies taking place at Manhattan School of Music and Jacobs School of Music. During her time as Head of Education at The Strand, she directed a vast array of shows, camps, and educational performing opportunities.
